Fun tag! I would tell my younger self to be super gentle when putting on and taking off my contacts. 😉

the beauty advice I would share is the same as your's to wash my face before bed (and of course the sunscreen advice) … other than that I am fine with the trends that have come and gone and I have been in love with make up from a young age 🙂

Don't overpluck your brows!!! The hairs get thinner as you age-some turn white…and then you can't see up close. For anyone who hasn't had this problem, go in the bathroom and try to fill in your brows around a pair of glasses. Aaarrggghhhhh!

I would tell myself to never smoke and to love my body the way it is!

I, like you, would say remove the makeup before going to sleep. I used to wear Bare Minerals foundation, and would hear them say that it's safe enough to sleep in.  I guess that influenced me.

What concealer do you use that you don't use setting powder?

Wow what would I tell myself, I think it would be to learn how to apply foundation right. I don't think I ever learned until I was in my 40's. Good skin is a must but the old way of applying at least for me left my skin looking older. The right shade and applying. I guess. My makeup would probably be the last thing I would want to advise me on but that is another tag right?  Patty

I would go back to 1979 when I was 15 and tell myself never smoke.  I smoked from the age of 15 until 23.  It was the dumbest thing I ever did.  Yes I turn 50 this year.  Ditto! By the way the first thing I thought of  when I heard the question,"what is your best beauty advise?"  Which is sunscreen.  I love clarin anti-aging spf 30 sunscreen for eyes.  It does not sting and has no heavy scent.

Great video! I would tell my teenage self to lay off the ultra light frosted pink lipstick and dark black eyeliner just under my eyes with none on top! not a good look lol

You have to see the tips that Waynegoss use for makeup and for concealer. I did what he says to put first moisturizer, then primer, loose powder with a brush but not too much, and then your makeup. This really helps me on my combination skin and on the weather that I live(92 degrees) now. I only have too touch up maybe 4 or 5 hours later. If you did what he says, your skin really seems awesome, tried.

I was going to say the sunscreen one. lol I would say not worry about whether I went out without makeup!  I spent too many Saturday mornings making sure I looked okay before going to Walmart! (or wherever) I am just me and I love makeup, but I love myself more.  I didn't learn that lesson back then.

I would tell myself to begin moisturizing every night…especially under the eyes.

Wow, your makeup looks so flawless in this video!

  17. J Reed April 10, 2014 at 3:23 am - Reply

The first thing I though of was "wear sunscreen" but other than that I would tell a younger me "have fun with makeup. You'll have years to wear 'mature makeup'. Experiment. It washes off."

I would definitely tell myself to not go to bed without removing make up first and I think I'd add something about having fun with make up and that all that matters is that I like what I wear. Who cares what everyone else think!

To my younger self: don't pick zits! Be more adventurous! Date that bad boy at least once! ❤️❤️great video. Linda

Enjoyed your video. One tip if you are using Retin A now you should not wax anymore. Retin A makes your skin more sensitive and waxing could actually remove a layer of skin.

LOL!  So funny – Questions are spot on!!  I feel a new kinship to other ladies my age.

Growing up, and in my younger years, I was very conservative with makeup.  I'm from a small town and women who wore more than mascara and neutral lipstick were assumed to be fast and loose.  And I LOVED to play with makeup!  My advise to my younger self would be to be more confident and wear that makeup in public. Wear that blush and eyeshadow.  Don't be afraid to accentuate your features!  Don't be scared when someone looks at you.

Gah, I'm 30 and have been plucking chin hairs since I was 15. All my hormones are normal. So annoying!
