Sephora’s Beauty Insider Program Is About to Undergo a Major Change

Beauty lovers, listen up! Sephora’s Beauty Insider Program is about to experience some drastic changes that are set to go live by the end of the month. According to Allure, there’s a slew of new perks about to be added to their loyalty program, which is built into three tiers based on customers’ yearly Sephora spending. For those unaware, here’s the rundown of the ranks: Insider, which is free, VIB if you spend over $350, and Rouge if you spend $1000 and above.

The new benefits—which were developed from feedback given by Sephora customers themselves—open doors for clients to gain more rewards than ever before. For example, after August 14, the point system will be boosted to allow VIB members earn 1.25 points for every dollar spent while Rouge members will earn 1.5 points. Additionally, the quantity and quality of the rewards that these points can unlock will also be improved. Soon, there are going to be “five times as many rewards at the 750+ point level, including two to three full-size products for VIB and Rouge members”Allure writes, referring to the brand’s Rewards Bazaar offerings. Rouge members will also have an additional rewards option, with a $100 Rouge Reward (which is just a fancy way of saying gift card) unlocked by customers who have garnered 2500 points.

Finally, the beloved Sephora birthday gift is being tweaked so that VIB and Rouge members will be able to choose between the usual gift (which, let’s be honest, has always been great) or 250 extra points. With the reward program getting updates this good, we’ll no longer feel guilty post-cosmetics shopping spree—after all, the returns for spending more are pretty great.
