It almost seems to be a prerequistie in the social media–age to have a very “Instagram-friendly” look if you’re going to launch a beauty product line. Actual results may speak volumes, but there’s no denying the fact that generating lots of likes will get you buzz—especially in the beginning.
New-to-the-scene (it just launched a couple of weeks ago) RDKL has that aesthetic. Clean packaging, pops of color and a modern-minimalist message make it worthy of the ‘gram; unique ingredients and a very powerful message makes it worthy of a regular rotation in your routine.
The on-the-surface basics: The brand is natural, paraben- and chemical-free and packs gemstones, vitamins and active botanicals (think hyaluronic acid, lemon balm extract, aloe vera gel and jojoba oil) into the formulas, while priding itself on not “watering down” the efficacy with additives. Plus, the oils used have the ability to absorb quickly, so your skin is never left feeling sticky or greasy, just perfectly hydrated.
While the concept isn’t super complicated—the entire line promises to protect against environmental pollutants, boost collagen and create healthier, more balanced skin and says you can achieve all that with its five-step Complete Care Set ($99)—its core mission goes beyond your standard beauty product.
As the company shares, they’re “striving to provide a bigger purpose to a beauty regime,” and has a goal of raising $5 million to support Unlikely Heroes, an organization dedicated to rescuing women and children enslaved by human trafficking. To that goal, RDKL donates a portion of proceeds from the sale of its products and invites customers to join them in “partnering for a bigger purpose.”
